NetEase.com, Inc.(Nasdaq: NTES), a leading Internet technology company supporting China's top-ranked Web sites, today announced the official launch of its Online Mall, located at http://mall.163.com.

The NetEase Online Mall, targeted at small and medium enterprises (SME) in China, provides comprehensive and flexible e-commerce solutions to companies often lacking the resources to conduct e-business. Enterprises can actually set-up shop in the Online Mall and participate in every stage of the e-commerce experience, from managing orders, shipping and billing to handling their personalized database.

NetEase provides the SMEs with software and hardware support, enabling companies to leverage the Internet to conduct market research and brand promotion.

NetEase will generate three types of revenue streams from the Online Mall: an initial set-up fee, a monthly maintenance fee and a commission on all transactions undertaken on the e-commerce platform.

“The Online Mall gives the small and medium enterprises the opportunity to engage in e-commerce activities, something these companies did not necessarily have the chance to do before”, said King Lai, Chief Executive Officer of NetEase.com,Inc. “The Online Mall is the first of its kind in China, allowing its users to have total control in the process. With NetEase’s strong technology support, enterprises now have a secure and easy way to promote their products to the online community.” Lai added.

NetEase partnered with several local players to facilitate e-commerce transactions, including China’s Merchants Bank for online settlements. The agreement between NetEase and one of China’s largest banks will render all payment transactions through the Online Mall secure and reliable.

“The Online Mall gives enterprises a chance to promote their products to our 9 million strong user base. Our large community of users gives us a competitive edge for B2C e-commerce”, said Susan Chen, Chief Operating Officer of NetEase.com.

Companies can now benefit from a two-week free trial period.
