NetEase.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTES), a leading Internet technology provider supporting China's top-ranked Web sites including www.163.com, today announced the launch of new iPDA (Internet Personal Digital Assistant) services. The NetEase Web sites are the first in China to introduce such services, enabling NetEase registered users to manage their work and daily lives using Internet-based tools.

The iPDA services will allow NetEase to more accurately profile their users by gathering comprehensive personal data. Advertisers on the NetEase Web sites will be able to better segment user groups and offer corresponding products.

The new services, which proved to be very popular during an initial testing period, will complement existing NetEase services and attract a more loyal and professional audience to the NetEase Web sites. NetEase received 13,220 responses indicating that there is an increasing need for Internet-based management tools. Moreover, most of these services are linked with NetEase's SMS (Short Messages Service), thus generating additional revenue through NetEase's partnership with China Mobile.

The iPDA services include:

· NetEase Calendar, an online schedule manager with interactive features and functions linking a daily agenda with SMS reminders and e-mail alerts.

· NetEase Invites, an online meeting place to plan events and group gatherings. Personalized invitations that can be sent through NetEase's SMS or e-mail services to multiple recipients.

· NetEase Bookmark, a personalized page that lets users keep track of their favorite Web sites and access them from any computer through NetEase's bookmark.163.com site.

· NetEase Address Book, an online contact manager accessible from anywhere, with direct e-mail links

· NetEase Alumni, a homepage that lets users build their own alumni group Web site.

“The launch of these services shows our commitment to our users and our drive to convert our users to customers,” said King Lai, Chief Executive Officer of NetEase.com. “iPDA services are also very attractive to advertisers who are looking for innovative ways to accurately target NetEase's affluent and large user base.”

Jack Xu, Chief Technology Officer at NetEase, added: “We are confident that our users will quickly adopt the iPDA services and depend on NetEase for their everyday scheduling needs.”
